Description
Primarily for installation on roller shutters, sliding and lifting
doors etc.
The contact housing is installed at ground level (a flat surface
is required). Only screws made of non-magnetic material may
be used for mounting the device.
Because of the weatherproof and mechanically stable design
of the contact housing, the switch is largely protected against
damage caused by vehicles with rubber tires driving over it.
The 4-wire cable is protected by a metal tube encased in
plastic.
When installing the magnet housing, observe both markings on
the contact housing. They enable the position of the magnet to
correspond precisely with the contact.
Refer to the right-hand side of the distance diagram for the
ideal installation distance between the contact and magnet
housing.
The magnet should be installed in the center of the "tolerance
zone" taking account of the relevant tolerances.
Unlike the magnet housing, the contact must not be installed
on any ferromagnetic materials.
During installation, make sure you comply with the motion
tolerances of the movable installation surface for the magnetic
housing.
When mounting is complete, the magnetic contact's electrical
switching function must be checked (e.g. using an ohmmeter
or continuity tester).
Caution:
The magnet will lose some of its field strength if it is
exposed to intense heat or vibrations. This can also happen if it
is moved into the vicinity of another magnet and like poles
are brought close to each other.

Caution:
Measure the supply lines electrically before
connecting them!
