SETTING UP THE VERTICAL GEL TANKS
Instructions for fitting the Electrode Cables:
1. Check the position of the lid on the unit. This shows the polarity and the correct orientation
of the cables: black is negative and red is positive.
2. Remove the lid from the unit. Note that if the lid is not removed, fitting the cables may
cause the gold plug to loosen and damage the electrode.
3. Screw the cables into the tapped holes as tightly as possible so that there is no gap
between the lid and the leading edge of the cable fitting.
4. Refit the lid.
VERTICAL GEL CASTING
1. Clean the glass plates – rinse them with distilled water and let them air dry.
2. Overlap a spacer glass with a notched one.
3. Put the two plates in the core. Keep their bottoms perfectly aligned and in contact with
the table.
4. Insert a cuneal plate closely outside the two plates.
5. Do the same for the other side.
Note: the spacer plate must be placed in the outer side and the notched one in the
inner side.
6. Pull out the handle of the gel casting base and rotate it downwards.
7. Put the core inside the gel casting base.

8. Push the handle into the whole and rotate upwards.
