Measuring temperature
• Food, oven and other parts can get very hot.
Risk of burning! Protect yourself by using
potholders.
• The control panel is not heat resistant. Do not
leave it in the oven.
Tips for measuring temperature
• Stick the tip of the sensor at least 1.5 cm deep
into the thickest part of the meat.
• Do not measure directly on the bone.
• When the measured temperature is the same
or higher than the set temperature, you will
hear a repeated beeping sound. The meat is

then cooked according to the setting you
selected. The acoustic warning signals stop
once the measured temperature is once again
below the set temperature.
Continuous temperature measurement
(when using the oven)
1. Move the function selector switch to
COOK.
2. Select the type of meat and cooking level (see
"Select type of meat and cooking level").
3. Remove the protective cap from the tip of the
sensor.
4. Stick the tip of the sensor into the meat.
5. Put the meat in the oven and set it to the ap-
propriate temperature.
6. Run the cable to the outside and close the
oven door. The cable adjusts itself to the oven
door seal. Be careful with any sharp-edged
frames and hinges. Do not keep the control
panel in the hot oven.
7. Store the control panel attached to the cable
somewhere close to the oven. The tempera-
ture will now be measured continuously and
displayed.
Measuring temperature at selected intervals
1. Move the function selector switch to
COOK.
2. Select the type of meat and cooking level (see
"Select type of meat and cooking level").
3. Open the oven and remove the meat.
4. Remove the protective cap from the tip of the
sensor.
5. Stick the tip of the sensor into the food.
Wait for a few seconds before reading the
temperature in the display under COOK
TEMP.
After use
1. Pull the tip of the sensor out and wash it clean
with a soft, damp cloth.
Caution! Risk of burning!
2. Stick the protective cap on the sensor and
turn the function selector to OFF.
Measuring time
The maximum length of time that can be meas-
ured is 99 minutes and 59 seconds.

to TIMER.

and start it again.

1. Set the duration of the short-time measure

to start, interrupt and restart the
timer. After the set amount of time has
passed, an acoustic signal will sound for ap-
proximately 30 seconds.
3. Press any button to interrupt the warning
signals.
Cleaning instructions
• Be careful when handling the thermometer.
The tip of the sensor may cause injury.
• The control panel is not waterproof. Do not
clean it in the dishwasher.
1. Wash the sensor and control panel with a soft,
damp cloth and if necessary with a little
detergent.
2. Always dry the thermometer thoroughly.
3. Stick the protective cap on the sensor.
