Remove underbody panel: Using flat head screwdriver, remove (3) rivets from underbody panel on passenger side. Using phillips screwdriver, remove (2) screws from panel. Using
10 mm socket, remove two bolts from panel. Remove the underbody panel.
Install hitch: Raise the hitch into position and align it with weldnut location. Loosely install M12 bolts ①, ½'' conical washers ②, ½'' lock washers ③, and ½'' flat washers ④ to the

Clean weldnuts: Using flat head screwdriver, remove plastic rivet covering on the weldnuts, (3) per side. Using wire brush to clean the weldnuts if needed.

Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N*M).

Trim underbody panel: Using utility knife and tape, mark and trim the panel as shown in Figure 2.

Reinstall the underbody panel with fasteners removed in step 1, except the rearmost two fasteners due to trimming.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged
should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for
connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
