► Disconnect the device from the mains before carrying out work on the electrical parts.
► Regularly check connecting cables (such as power cables), hoses and housing (for example, the
control panel) for damage (for example, kinks, tears, porosity) or deterioration due to aging. Do
EN
not operate units with damaged connection cables, hoses or housing parts or other defects!
► Defective devices must be put out of service immediately. Disconnect from mains and secure
against being switched on again. Send the device in for repair!
► Only operate the device under supervision.
► Please observe the national accident prevention regulations!
► It is the responsibility of the operator that national regulations during operation and regarding
a repeated safety inspection of electrical equipment are complied with. For Germany these are
the regulation 3 by DGUV (German Statutory Accident Insurance) in relation with VDE 0701-0702
(Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technology).
► Information on REACH and SVHC is available on our website www.renfert.com, in the Support
area.

Specific Information

► The mains socket on the device is only designed for purposes specified in the operating instruc-
tions. Connecting other devices may cause material damage.
► Switch off the electrical device before connecting an electrical appliance to the appliance outlet.
► Read the operating instructions for the electrical appliance which is to be connected and observe
the stipulated safety instructions.
► Please observe the national regulations and permitted exposure to dust in a working environment.
Please ask the "National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health" or other responsible au-
thority.
► Please observe the Safety Data Sheets of the materials to be extracted.
► Always wear protective gear, when extracting hazardous materials.
► It is necessary to wear suitable personal protective equipment when emptying the dust drawer or
cleaning, depending on the type of extracted material.
► When disposing of the extracted material or used filter, please observe the local specifications
and accident prevention regulations!
► Make sure the dust drawer is fully closed during operation.
► Do not operate without a suction hose.
► Do not extract flammable or explosive gasses, fumes or dust.
► The following applications involve increased risks and are therefore not permitted:
When cleaning milling chambers and SLM printing systems by suction, a sufficiently high con-
centration and purity (i.e. unmixed with other dental dusts such as gypsum, resins) can result
in spontaneous ignition or the milling dust exploding or printing powder because of a potential
exothermic reaction (e.g. due to oxidation).
An alternative cleaning method must be selected for the following milling or printing media in
particular (such as manual cleaning):
• Wood
• Titanium / titanium-aluminum
• Light metals and light metal alloys (e.g. aluminum, magnesium)
• Cobalt chrome powder (e.g. for use in SLM systems)
If large quantities of light metals such as titanium alloy are processed (e.g. with sandpaper), pro-
ducing very fine grinding dust, a sufficiently high concentration and purity may result in sponta-
neous combustion because of a potential exothermic reaction.
► Do not extract hot materials.
► Do not extract liquids.
► If the dust extractor is employed to extract hazardous materials, appropriate personal protective
gear must be worn and steps must be taken to ensure that the exhaust air is properly ventilated.
Please refer to the associated safety data sheets for specific requirements.
► Dispose of extracted material according to local statutory regulations.
Authorized Persons
Operation and maintenance of the device may only be performed by qualified personnel.
