2.2 Security
Pay attention to the security measures before to install:
1. The PBX 100 shall be placed in a stable and well ventilated surface. Avoid
direct sun light or the fl ammable environments.
2. The switch should have a free space around to avoid warming.
3. Keep the switch away from other devices that produce electromagnetic noise
(like engines or transformers).
4. Do not place this device near from antennas to avoid interferences.
5. Do not place current cable in water. In case that it happens cut the electric
power immediately.
6. Do not hit or shake the PBX 100.
7. Do not install during an electrical storm.
2.3 Operation
2.3.1 Connecting lines and extensions to the unit.
1. Connect the extension cables to the connectors designated 601 to 608.
2. Connect the telephone lines to the Line 1 to Line 3 inputs.
Remember that the PBX is only to analog lines.
2.3.2 Connecting to the electric current
Once connected the extensions, you have to connect the power input cable.
1. Use the supplied cable and connect it to the PWR input.
2. Plug in the opposite end to a power outlet.
3. Pick up the extension's handset 601. A dialing tone indicates that the system
is properly working. You can begin with the confi guration right away.
