Step 5: Pouring the concrete slab
1
Before you pour the concrete, check that you are using the correct measurements for your WaterPro2. See
hole alignment
on page 5.
2
The thermal earth tube (if using) should be flush with the top of the concrete slab.
Do not pour concrete into the thermal earth tube or fill the space with dirt or any other material, as it will prevent
warm air below the frost line from circulating around the vertical water supply line, and will cause the water line to
freeze.
Step 6: Preparing the vertical water supply line
Cut the vertical water supply line, but make sure that it extends at least 7.5 inches (191 mm) above the concrete slab.
1
2
Attach a ½ inch NPT male fitting onto the end of the vertical water supply line. If the water supply line is more than ½ inch in
diameter, use an adapter. The fitting/adapter will be used to connect to the ½ inch flex line later.
3
Turn on the water supply to flush any dirt and debris through the water supply line. Turn off the water supply.
4
Slide the water supply insulation tube over the vertical water supply line. Push it down, leaving 1 inch (30 mm) of water supply
line exposed.
Step 7: Preparing the tank
1
Turn the tank on its side.
2
Apply the foam tape to the bottom of the tank, around the outside edge (in the recessed channel shown in red below).
3
Lift the tank and carefully position it over the vertical water supply line.
4
Open the panel door at the front of the tank to expose the ½ inch flex line pre-installed inside the tank. Connect the ½ inch
flex line to the vertical water supply line and tighten with a pipe wrench. Note that the ½ inch flex line comes with seals pre-
fitted. Leave the panel door open while you check for leaks in the next step.
