INSTALLATION
Place the filter so that it can't end up in the water, not
even accidentally, and so that the area where it is placed
is not subject to flooding or overflow. The filter must
not be immersed in water (Fig. 1, page 39). Prexo adv
is easy to conceal as it can be partially buried next to
the pond. Be sure to properly fit the gaskets on the
connectors. You have to connect a pump to the "IN"
inlet in order for the filter to operate. Connect a pipe to
the "OUT" outlet to carry the filtered water to the pond
(fig. 2, page 39).
Put the knob found on the top of the filter in the WORK
position (fig. 2, page 39).
MAINTENANCE
Prexo adv is equipped with the "Backwash" (reversed
water flow) system, which quickly cleans the filter
without having to open and disassemble it.
Preliminary "Backwash" system operations: Switch
off the pump. Unscrew the cap on the "DIRTY" outlet,
located on top of the filter. Fit the third connector
supplied in its place. Connect a pipe to the "DIRTY"
outlet to carry the wash water of the filter wherever you
want (fig. 3, page 39). You can activate the "Backwash"
system while the filter is in operation by turning the
knob on top of the filter to the "CLEAN" position. After
cleaning the filter, put the knob back in the "WORK"
position.
Put the cap back on the "DIRTY" outlet if you don't use
the "Backwash" system for a long period of time.
To clean more thoroughly, you have to remove the
various filter materials from the filter and wash them
under running water. Do not use chemical detergents.
To open the filter, loosen the hooks and lift the cover,
following the instructions on page 40. After cleaning
close the filter, making sure you position the cover
correctly (see fig. 7, page 40).
LAMP REPLACEMENT
FOR MODELS WITH BUILT-IN UVC ONLY
(PRX adv 20 UV-C / PRX adv 30 UV-C):
For optimum filter performance, it is advisable to replace
the lamp about every 4,000 hours (one season).
Follow the instructions on page 41.
WARNING: Before carrying out any maintenance on
the appliance, you must remove its plug from the
electric socket.
WARNING: The replacement operation for
the lamp must only be carried out by qualified and
specialised technical personnel.
English
WARNING: To gain access to the device that emits UV-C
rays, it is necessary to remove the screw as shown in
figure 2 (page 41) using a suitable screwdriver. Replace
the device and make sure that the screw is tightened as
before. Remove the knob (fig. 3) and remove the lamp
socket by pulling it upwards (fig. 4). Replace the lamp
(fig. 5) and put the lamp socket back in place vertically
(fig. 6). Put the knob and screw back in their original
places. This operation is extremely important for the
safety of persons who might otherwise gain easy access
to the device or UV-C rays.
