Dangerous Substances for Humans and
the Environment
Emission during Operation
The converter does not produce any harmful exhaust
fumes during operation. The converter does not contain
any substances that may yield dangerous emissions. The
converter can produce paper dust during operation, ensure
sufficiently ventilation
Protection of the Environment
The environment can be endangered by:
•
Oil in the speed reducer of the drive system
•
Oil or grease in the bearings of the converter
•
Grease used when mounting screws and bolts in
aluminium parts
•
A back-up battery in the control box
These substances must be treated as chemical waste for
which the regulations of the local law apply. Although it
is not permitted to work on the converter yourself, under
certain circumstances, it may be necessary to remove
or replace one of the substances mentioned above. To
these, the local regulations apply. When replacing these
substances, use the recommended or supplied type from
the manufacturer, Ranpak.
Calamities
There are no special regulations for calamities. In case of
fire, use a normal extinguishing agent. When extinguishing
with water, ensure the power voltage is turned off.
Moving the Converter

Switch the converter off
•
Remove the power plug from the wall socket
•
Collect any loose cords
•
Unlock the wheels and move the converter to the
required location
•
Once in position, lock the wheels using the built-in
brakes.

Pay attention to sharp edges,
corners and knives of the converter
due to the risk of cutting.

The converter weighs ± 34 kg (75 lbs.)
The converter can be top-heavy.

Grounding instructions
This converter must be grounded. This converter is equipped
with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor
and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an
appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
Improper
equipmentgrounding
result in a risk of electric shock.
Warning!
Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the
grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if
in doubt as to whether the converter is properly grounded.
Do not modify the plug provided with the converter – if it
will not fit in the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
In general
Before performing maintenance on the converter, the
electrical supply must be turned off by pulling the power
plug from the wall socket.
Pay attention to sharp edges, corners
and knives of the converter due to the
risk of cutting.
