Preparing For Set-Up

Allmand Port-A-Lite PAL LED portable work lights are
shipped in separate cartons, and require assembly before
use. Upon receiving the unit, remove each piece from
the shipping cartons and inspect the parts for damage.
Contact your dealer or Allmand if parts were damaged during
shipping.

Set-Up Instructions

1. Loosen the mast socket knob (A, Figure 3).
2. Install the outer mast (B, Figure 3) into the socket, and
tighten the mast socket knob.
3. Make sure that the inner mast (C, Figure 3) is fully
lowered. If needed, turn the winch (D) counterclockwise
to lower the inner mast.
4. Install the light bar (E, Figure 3) onto the inner mast,
followed by the light bar knob (F). Tighten the light bar
knob.
5. Install a bolt (G, Figure 3) up through the holes in each
end of the light bar. Install the plastic washer (H) onto the
bolt, followed by the center hole of the fixture yoke (I),
plated washer (J) and jam nut (K). Tighten the nut.
6. Remove the cable tie (L, Figure 3) from the base cables
(M).
7. Connect the base cables to the fixture cables (N,
Figure 3).
8. Attach the tow handle (O, Figure 3) to the base with the
clevis pin (P).

Operating the unit with worn, damaged or missing parts

damaged or missing parts promptly. Do not operate this
unit until all worn, damaged or missing parts have been
replaced, and proper operation of unit has been verified.
