WORKING CAPACITY, max : 136 kg.
LENGTH : 2.5 meters.
MATERIAL : The webbing on the fall arrest device Tiger 2,5 is manufactured from polyester and connectors are manufactured
from steel.
USE: The tall arrester can only be used for vertical works.
2 APPLICATION
The fall arrester is a subsystem that when connected to a full body harness according to EN 361, constitutes one of the fall
arrest systems specified in the Norm EN 363. In case of a fall, the fall arrester blocks and minimizes the impact forces on
the user's body <6 kN.
Use only in vertical plane.
In order to optimize the safety during works at height, it is important to limit the movements as much as possible and that
the lateral movements do not exceed a cone of 30 ° to the vertical axis of its anchor point and move at a moderate speed, to
ensure that the fall arrester functions under proper condition.
Always avoid twisting of the webbing. During use, make sure that the webbing does not rewind with a twist.
Avoid letting the retractable type fall arrester become entwined beneath your arms or legs, or avoid that the webbing come
into contact with rough surfaces or sharp edges likely to cause cuts or abrasions
Do not connect the device to the lateral anchorage rings on the work positioning belt (EN 358). Never use this device for
restraint, or work positioning.
3 HOW TO USE
Follow steps 1 to 3 for the use of the fall arrest device :
1. Connect the device to the anchor point through the connector Irudek ref. 981 (EN 362) supplied on the top.
It is recommended tha the anchor point where the fall arrest system is going to be fixed should always be placed above the
position of the user, should have a minimum static strength of 10kN and should be in conformity to EN 795 requirements. The
shape and construction of the anchor point should not let self-acting disconnection of the device.
2. Connect the connector Irudek ref. 976 (EN 362) at the end of the webbing to the back or front anchorage point on the
harness (EN 361).
3. Make sure the connectors are properly locked.
4 INSPECTION
- During pre-use check it is necessary to inspect all elements of the equipment in respect of any damages, excessive wear,
corrosion, abrasion, degradation due to UV, cuts or misuse, especially take into account the body and components of the fall
arrest device, webbing, locking mechanism functioning, anchorage rings and connectors.
-Before each use verify the locking function by pulling strongly the webbing, the fall arrester should block and prevent it from
unwinding. When you release the webbing, it must rewind freely.
-Take out the webbing to check for possible failures and signs of cuts. Check that it rewind and it is stored correctly.
-Check that the energy absorber is correctly packed in its case.
-Check the correct function of the connectors and their locking. In case the load indicator is activated, red colour is shown,
the device must be withdrawn from use immediately and return to the manufacturer or its competent person for repair.
5 LIMITATIONS FOR USE
- Personal protective equipment should be a personal issue item
- It is recommended that the anchor point where the fall arrest system is going to be fixed should always be placed above
the position of the user, should have a minimum static strength of 10kN and should be in conformity to EN 795 requirements.
- Personal protective equipment must not be used by a person with medical condition that could affect the safety of the
equipment user in normal and emergency use.
- Personal protective equipment shall only be used by a person trained and competent in its safe use.
