Inspect all parts and read all instructions prior to beginning assembly and installation.
STEP 1 Use Installation Template to mark and drill 1/16" pilot holes for Universal
Mounting Plates in the top and bottom interior of cabinet.
STEP 2 Fasten each of the Universal Mounting Plates with 2 - #8 x 1/2" Screws using the
slots so that future adjustment can be made if necessary. On full-round susans, fasten
Universal Mounting Plates with all 4 - #8 x 1/2" Set Screws.
STEP 3 Insert Bearing Hubs into the underside of each of the Shelves. NOTE: The
keyway on the side of the Bearing Hub must be aligned with the key on the inside of the
Shelf.

STEP 4 Rotate the Adjustable Height Mechanism counter-clockwise on the Telescopic

PKADJ24ST-BI Post so that it is positioned at a higher position on the post. NOTE: Do NOT remove the

throughout the installation process.

STEP 5 Loosen the Set Screw and Nut and remove the upper portion of the Telescopic

Post. Slide the Top Shelf (with instruction label) onto the lower portion of the Telescopic
Post, allowing it to rest on the Adjustable Height Mechanism. Then slide the Beauty Ring
over the top of the lower portion of the Telescopic Post so it rests on the Top Shelf. To
complete Susan Assembly, re-attach the upper portion of the Telescopic Post with the Set
Screw and Nut.
STEP 6 Place the Bottom Shelf into the cabinet, centering it over the bottom Universal

STEP 7 Align the bottom of the Telescopic Post over the top of the bottom Universal
Mounting Plate, making sure that the slot in the Post fits over the lug in the Mounting Plate.
Push the Bearing Pin through the slot in the Pole and the hole in the Universal Mounting
Plate. Slide the bottom Shelf down.
STEP 8 Loosen, but do not remove, the Set Screw that holds the upper portion of the
Telescopic Post enough to allow the upper portion to move. Slide the upper portion up onto
the top Universal Mounting Plate so that it is engaged securely. Tighten the Set Screw so
that the upper and lower portions of the Telescoping Post are held together securely.
STEP 9 To ensure Shelves remain in place during shipment of cabinet (if needed), push a
Shelf Clip into the Telescoping Post hole immediately above each Shelf. It may be
necessary to raise the Beauty Ring and the Outer Chrome Post on the Adjustable Height
Mechanism to access the hole.
STEP 10 Slowly rotate the top Shelf until it dips and rests in (A) an open position (for
kidney-shaped susans) OR (B) a stopped position (for full-round susans). Without moving
any of the Shelves, ensure that the gray Adjustment Lever below the top Shelf can be
moved into BOTH the UP and DOWN positions. If Adjustment Lever does not go both UP
and DOWN, rotate Top Shelf to next stopped position (for full-round susans.) Move
Adjustment Lever into the UP (or unlocked) position. Raise the shelf by slowly rotating the
Shelf COUNTER-CLOCKWISE until it stops at desired height. LOWER the shelf by slowly
rotating the Shelf CLOCKWISE until it stops at desired height. NOTE: Top Shelf can be
adjusted to one of five height positions, loaded or unloaded. Do not try to rotate shelf past
the highest or lowest position, as damage will occur. Move Adjustment Lever into the
DOWN (or locked) position to lock Shelf at desired height.
STEP 11 (KIDNEY SUSANS ONLY) Check the alignment of the Shelves with
the cabinet door opening by rotating the Shelves so that the detents (notches) on the
Bearing Hubs engage the Bearing Pin and Height Adjustable Mechanism cap to stop the
Shelves. If the Universal Mounting Plates were installed correctly using the template, the
shelves should be perfectly aligned with the cabinet door opening. Should additional
adjustment be needed, loosen the screws holding the Universal Mounting Plates just
enough to allow rotation of the entire unit. Rotate the unit until the Shelves are in
alignment with the cabinet opening, and tighten the Screws. Add remaining #8 x 1/2"
Screws to the round holes in the Universal Mounting Plates to complete the installation.
