Juicing Greens
General Procedure
Greens can be juiced in conjunction with other vegetables and fruits. The best
approach is to alternate types ofproduce as you juice. Start with something green,
such as kale, spinach, lettuce & wheatgrass, followed by somethinghard, such as
carrots, beets, celery, etc. and then followed by something liquid, such as cucumber,
tomato or fruit.Continue to alternate as you go; this will help to keep the juicing
chamber clear.
Preparation of Greens
Leafy Greens such as Kale, Spinach, Lettuce, Etc. – Cut each stalk in half, then roll up
like a cigar.
Wheatgrass – Cut grass in 1inch pieces, then roll them up in a green leaf.
Celery – Cut stalks to a length of 2 inches maximum.
