INSTRUCTION MANUAL
INSTALLING THE CONTROLLER
1. Plug the unit into a standard NEMA 5-15 120V wall outlet. Place the remote sensor
probe in a well-ven lated area at plant height.
2. Plug the CO
device into the power outlet on the front of the controller. Ensure that the
2
CO
device has the proper voltage (120V) and will not exceed the maximum amperage
2
ra ng of the unit (15A).
READING CO
LEVELS
2
1. Allow the unit to warm up for approximately 5 minutes.
2. Check that the red LED and the yellow LED on the front of the unit (under PPM Level)
begin to fl ash. The number of mes the red LED fl ashes indicates the thousands of
PPM. The yellow LED fl ashes indicate the hundreds of PPM. For example, if the red
LED fl ashes one me and the yellow LED fl ashes 3 mes, the CO
approximately 1300 PPM.
3. Watch the green LED in the center of the PPM Level sec on. It will illuminate when the
unit is signaling the CO
device to inject.
2
CHANGING SETTINGS
1. Turn the Setpoint adjustment knob to set the desired minimum CO
level drops below this se ng, the unit will turn on the CO
about 1100-1600 PPM for agricultural applica ons.)
2. Turn the Deadband adjustment knob to control the amount over the CO
the CO
should rise before the unit will turn off the CO
2
between 50-150 PPM.)
CALIBRATING THE CO
SENSOR
2
1. Unplug the controller. Place the unit outside in an uncrowded area, away from people
or any other CO
-producing objects.
2
2. Plug the controller into an outside power source or run an extension cord from the unit
to a power source inside.
3. Let the controller operate normally for about 10 minutes.
4. Turn the Setpoint knob fully counter-clockwise and the Deadband knob fully clockwise.
When these se ngs are made on the unit for more than 3 seconds, the controller will
go into a calibra on mode and the red LED will come on.
5. Move away from the controller so that the carbon dioxide in your breath and
movement mo on do not aff ect the reading.
6. Check for the yellow LED to come on when the calibra on is complete. A er 10
minutes, the unit should read between 300-400 PPM (3-4 yellow LED fl ashes). The
calibra on is complete. Note: If the yellow LED is blinking on/off repeatedly, restart the
calibra on process from the beginning.

7. Disconnect the unit from its power source and adjust the se ngs back to the normal
se ngs before bringing it back inside and rea aching it to the wall and power source.
Once power is restored, the unit will start working normally again.
TROUBLESHOOTING
How can I tell if the photocell is working? There is a built-in 20-second me delay for the
photocell to change status. A green Day me LED on the top side right edge of the unit
will light up when the photocell is in Day me mode.
The CO
level of the area does not seem to be correct. Ensure the unit has good air

movement around the CO
sensor. Do not breathe near or directly on the CO
2
which can increase the reading from the CO
The yellow LED fl ashes on/off a er calibra ng. The calibra on procedure did not work,
possibly due to the remote probe picking up carbon dioxide from your breath or people
around you. A empt to calibrate again.
The red and yellow LEDs remain on. There is a problem with the CO
retailer for repair informa on.
The red and yellow LEDs con nue to blink on and off . The unit has experienced a power
overload condi on and shut itself down. Reduce the electrical load (maximum of 15
amps). Unplug unit for 5 seconds to reset the error.
I have no power to my controller unit. Check the device that is connected to the unit
by plugging it directly into a known power supply. If the device works properly and the
controller unit will s ll not turn on and no LEDs
illuminate, contact your retailer for repair and
warranty issues.
