Problem - Cause
The sander doesn't start:
• The power cable is not plugged in or there is an
electrical failure;
• The extension cord is too long or the cable is too
thin;
• The "ON/OFF" switch is damaged;
• The power supply is too low;
The sander is working irregularly on the
surface:
• The material or the surface is too hard;
• Defective sanding pad;
Excessive thinning of the material or surface
• The rotation speed is too high;
• The sandpaper grit is too thick;
The surface quality isn't the desired:
• Not appropriate sandpaper;
• The periods of drying have not been respected;
• High proportion of filler, soft bitumen;
• Initiating the rotation of the sanding disc with the
sanding pad over the working surface (stretch marks
formation);
• The sanding plate is inclined;
Not enough suction, too much dust:
• The vacuum is not turned on;
• The sandpaper holes are not matching the velcro
pad perforations;
• The protection ring is misplaced or worn;
• Suction hose is clogged or bent;
• The dust bag is full;
• Inadequate rotation speed;
The machine overheats:
• Sander in overload;
• The housing is not properly assembled or there are
loosen parts inside the sander;
• Supply voltage is too low;
Sparks around the collector:
• Worn brushes;
• Inductor or induced in shor-circuit;

8. FAQS / TROUBLESHOOTING

Solution
• Check the power cable, socket and power circuit;
• Remove or replace the extension cord.
Plug the power cable directly in the socket;
• Replace the "ON/OFF" switch;
• Check if the power supply is suitable;
• Reduce the number of rotations;
• Replace the sanding pad;
• Reduce the number of rotations;
• Use a thinner sandpaper grit;
• Use a thinner sandpaper grit;
• Respect the drying periods and the manufacturer's
recommendations;
• Use a thinner sandpaper grit;
• Place the sanding pad on the surface with the disc in
rotation;
• Work with the sanding plate parallel to the working surface;
• Turn the vacuum on;
• Place the sandpaper in the right position;
• Place or replace the protection ring placed in the velcro
pad;
• Unclog or straighten the suction hose;
• Replace the dust bag;
• Regulate the rotation speed;
• Reduce the work pressure;
• Check if there is any obstruction or part touching the
induced;
• Check the supply voltage and adjust it according the
technical specifications;
• Replace the brushes;
• Call customer service;
