Installation tips

The cold water connection must be designed in accordance with DIN 1988. The
component-checked safety valve is sized sufficient large with a port DN 15. The cold
water is lead to the tank bottom by a pipe within the tank.
If hot and cold water connections of the tank are provided with non-metallic tube

materials, teh tank has to be connected to earth.
The installation of a pressure reducing valve is generally recommended. The
permissible operation over-pressure of the floor-standing hot water tank on the
industrial water side is 10 bar. If the mains is operated with a higher pressure, a
pressure reducing valve must be installed. To reduce the flow noises within buildings,
the pipe pressure should be set to approx. 3.5 bar.
Since washed-in foreign particles clog up fittings etc. and cause corrosion in the lines,
it is recommended to install a drinking water filter in the cold water inlet.
Before the tank is placed at its final installation site, all unneeded pipe couplings must
be plugged. Provided screwings, immersion sleeves and, if applicable, extensions
and/or pipe sections must be sealed if laying pipes is impossible after installing the
insulation.
For transport to the place of installation, the thermal insulation of the tank can be
removed completely. However, it must be reinstalled before the pipework is connected.
Keep fire, soldering flame and/or torches away from the insulation.
Connection to heating system and solar installation:
The heating-side connections must be sized at least for the volume flow of the
connected heating circuit.
The solar-side connections are determined by the tubing sizes of the solar circuit.
The double tank must be installed in such a way that it can be emptied as completely
as possible.
The industrial water tank on the inside can be emptied only by means of a pump or
a "siphon".
