Naída CI PowerCel™ Batteries
Naída CI PowerCels are intended to power the
Advanced Bionics' Naída CI Sound Processor. The
Naída CI PowerCels are Lithium ion rechargeable
batteries.
The Naída CI is turned 'on' when a charged battery is
attached to the processor. In order to power 'off' the
processor, the battery cartridge must be removed. When
the battery is engaged, the orange LED located in the
middle of the rocker switch will flash to indicate battery
charge.
The processor will always power on in Program 1 with
the volume and sensitivity at the default settings.
To power down the Naída CI, simply remove the battery
cartridge.
When you are not using your processor, it should be
powered down; otherwise the battery will continue to
drain. To prevent intermittent operation of the
processor, the battery contacts on the rechargeable
battery and on the processor should be kept free from
dirt and dust. Gently clean the area with a hearing aid
brush or dry cotton swab at least once a month. If the
rechargeable battery is dropped, inspect it for evidence
of damage or cracking. If any evidence of damage is
seen, the battery should be replaced.
