- Página 3 V.A.I.T. – Mod. 356 DIN EN 331 – DVGW – MOP 0.1 / GT 1 - GS 1,6 – Typ K – H – DN 15 OMB Saleri plc. produces a valve which has the following safety features: • “Push & Turn” security against accidental opening • “Excess flow” security against accidental breaking of the tube • Thermal security against the risk of explosion in the case of fire. This valve is provided with: 1. A security system on the knob which impedes opening if the knob is not pushed down when turned. 2. An integrated shutting safety device automatically stops the gas flow in case of breakage, leakage or severing of the pipe downstream from the valve or if the limits indicated on the valve are exceeded, preventing dangerous gas leakages; 3. A thermal safety device which automatically closes the gas flow if the valve is submitted to temperatures higher than 100° C, which prevents further leakages and can resist temperatures of up to 650° C for at least 30 minutes, in order to prevent the risk of explosion. The valves are designed for installation in distribution networks of natural gas, city gas or propane gas from 15 mbar to 100 mbar, for use in domestic gas appliances, where the supply pressure is already reduced upstream from the valve.
