Normal charge termination is via delta peak circuitry, and is
signalled by repeated beeps. The fast charge sequence will
cease, but the display will show the fast charge time, charge
amount the battery has accepted in mA, trickle charge cur-
rent, and actual voltage of the battery being charged.

Discharge
Set up the discharge current in a similar manner to setting
the charge current. The maximum discharge current is
500mA, and the discharge cutoff voltage should be set to
1.0 volt per cell for both NiCD and NiMH batteries, range is
0.1 to 12.0 volts.
Lead Acid (PB) and Lithium Ion (Lilo) batteries should have
the voltage set to the same as the voltage of the battery
being discharged, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 volts for PB, 3.6, 3.7 ,
7 .2, 7 .4, 10.8 or 11.1 for Lilo.
Once the current and voltage ranges have been set, leave
the buttons unpressed for 5 seconds to confirm, then
press the
ENTER START/STOP
to commence discharging. The screen will show the dis-
charge time, capacity in Ma that has been supplied by the
battery, the discharge current in Amps and the voltage of
the battery being discharged.

When the battery has been discharged to the voltage set,
the discharge will terminate, signalled by the charger beep-
ing for around 10 seconds, and the discharge time and
capacity supplied by the battery will be shown. In the exam-
ple shown below, the battery was on discharge for just over
259 minutes, and supplied a total of 2162mA. As the dis-
charge is ended the discharge current has dropped to zero,
and the battery voltage (with no load) is 8.613 volts.

Cycle Mode
Note that this mode can only be used with NiCD and
NiMH batteries.
Select the Cycle mode and set up the discharge and charge
currents in a similar manner to the individual discharge and
charge modes. Note that as well as charge and discharge
current setting, it is also possible to program for between 1
and 5 cycles and either Charge followed by Discharge (C-D)
or Discharge followed by Charge (D-C).
When the currents and cycles have been correctly set
pressing the
ENTER (START/STOP)
one second will initiate the selected cycle mode.
Push the
ENTER
button to change C-D, D-C, cycle rate and
number of cycles. Adjust using the
