10. Each EBC240 uses two chargers. Both chargers must be used. For each

Verify that the UPS is turned off.
Verify that the circuit breaker on all EBC240s is in the OFF (O)
position (see Figure 3).

Plug the EBC240 battery output cord into the battery connector on
the UPS rear panel. All battery connectors are polarized to prevent
incorrect connection.
If the EBC240 battery output cord is not long enough, use the
supplied 48" extension cord. Plug the extension cord into the
battery connector on the UPS rear panel. Plug the other end into
the EBC240 battery output cord.
If additional EBC240s are to be used, plug the battery output cord
of the second cabinet into the battery connector of the first cabinet.
Follow this procedure for each additional EBC240.
For seismic installations only. Using the 5/16"
removed when unloading each cabinet from its pallet, secure the
EBC240 to the mounting plates.
charger, plug the IEC-320 power cord into the bottom of the
charger, then plug the power cord into a wall outlet (each charger
requires 6A for 120 Vac or 3A for 240 Vac for AC input).
Once powered, the charger LED illuminates indicating that the
charger is properly operating.
