Presure Filter
• The Pond Filter may require cleaning from time to time for
optimal performance.
• Before cleaning, always disconnect the pump from the
power source that is connected to the filter.
• Remove the filter pads and clean with water and when
they are visibly soiled.
• Return the filter pads with the fine filter pad (blue) in first,
and the coarse filter pad (black) on top.
NOTE: The bio-balls contain beneficial bacteria. At least
once a year the entire system should be disassembled and
cleaned thoroughly using warm water. This should not be
done during the warm season as it may take up to 8 weeks
to re-establish the environmental balance. The best time
of the year to "breakdown" your system is in early spring
before the water temperatures begin to rise. This is also the
ideal time to replace the filter pads.
• Filter pads should be replaced annually or when visibly
deteriorating. Use TotalPond
item #52232 (#RF13026) for a new fine and coarse filter
pad.
• Reconnecting the pump to the power source when you
are finished.
