OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Preliminary checks
After having performed all connections check that:
- the plastic dust bag (21) is in the container;
- that the pressure gauge (5) indicates correct air pressure and there
are no leaks;
- that electrical connections were performed correctly;
- that all turbine panels are mounted correctly.
Main switch
Positioning the rotary switch on the front panel ON, the machine is
started and it has power to all electric sockets.
Shutdown turbine
To shut down the turbine, turn the knob (30) to OFF to switch the shut
down the machine and switch off the main switch.
Electric tools connection (without vacuum auto start)
- connect the vacuum hose;
- do not exceed the raccomanded power (3600 W max);
- If the tool is fitted with a vacuum device, connect it to the front
vacuum fitting using the hose supplied as standard (optional).
Note: the maximum absorption tolerated by the machine is 16A,
when the vacuum system is not running. When the vacuum system
is running, the maximum absorption tolerated is equal to 10A
Air tools connection (with vacuum auto start)
- Plug-in the air hose on the inside quick coupling;
- connect the air hose opposite end to the air tool;
- If the tool is fitted with a vacuum device, connect it to the front
vacuum fitting using the hose supplied as standard (optional).
Connection to a fixed terminal
Connect the plug-in plug (39) supplied as standard to the remote
control cable of the fixed terminal. Insert the plug-in plug in the socket
(37) situated on the rear wall of the turbine (Fig. 5B).
Connect the vacuum pipe of the terminal to the front vacuum fitting
using the adapter (38).
Set the turbine in AUTOMATIC mode to start the vacuum system by
means of the fixed terminal.

MACHINE USE

Turn on the main switch.
Preliminary checks
- Check that the vacuum hose is properly fixed and does not hinder
tool movement;
- Check that there are not leaks from the compressed air supply
system.
Only after having performed connections should you proceed with a
brief operating trial of the tools following their instructions.
Manual mode
In manual mode, the turbine will operate continuously.
To interrupt the continuous operation, press button (29) to pass to
AUTOMATIC mode, or turn the knob (30) to OFF to switch the shut
down the machine.
Automatic mode
The AUTOMATIC mode supports the remote operation of the turbine.
To start the machine remotely, connect the pneumatic tools to the
front connections or connect the fixed terminal to the plug-in system.
The unit automatically set the stand-by mode 30 sec after the air or
electric tools are turned off and is ready for auto-start.
12
Starting (400 V - 50 Hz model)
- Turn the knob (30) to ON to switch the turbine on, LEDS 24-25-26-
27-28 will light-up in sequence. LEDS 25-27-28 will then switch off
automatically;
- LED 26 lights permanently to indicate that the turbine is in
AUTOMATIC mode, while LED 24 lights permanently to indicate that
the turbine is powered;
- Select the operating mode (MANUAL or AUTOMATIC) by pressing
button (29).
Start-up (version 230 V. - 60 Hz)
- Turn the knob (30) to ON to switch the turbine on, LEDS 24-25-26-
27-28 will light-up in sequence. LEDS 25-27-28 will then switch off
automatically;
- LED 26 lights permanently to indicate that the turbine is in
AUTOMATIC mode, while LED 24 lights permanently to indicate that
the turbine is powered;
- Select the operating mode (MANUAL or AUTOMATIC) by pressing
button (29).
Checking the direction of rotation of the turbine motor
The pump has a tree-phase motor and is designed to rotate in both
directions: during the initial start-up after the installation of the
turbine, verify that the vacuum operation is performed by the front
fittings. Otherwise, connect once more the power cord after inverting
two phases.
INDICATORS, SAFETY DEVICES AND ALARMS
Stop due to overtemperature
A temperature sensor is fitted on the pump (15). When the
temperature reaches the limit value, the turbine stops and the LEDs on
the panel start to flash in sequence.
As soon as the temperature reaches the correct value, only LED (24)
remains lit.
Cycle the main switch to restart the machine.
If the problem persists, immediately stop the turbine using the main
switch and contact the support centre.
Safety valve
Each turbine is fitted with a vacuum-limiting safety valve (14), which is
calibrated to limit the vacuum value and prevent the machine from
overheating. RUPES Spa shall not be responsible for direct or indirect
damage originating from the tampering with or alteration of the safety
valve.
