– Make sure that the TorqLink backbone is always terminated, which means that there
must be a component with built-in termination at both ends. Depending on the system
setup, this may be motor and TorqLink throttle (1976-00), motor and TorqLink Termina-
tor, or TorqLink Gateway and TorqLink Terminator (included in 2217-00).
– Then connect the Gateway to the NMEA 2000 network (socket B).
Observe the operating instructions for your display device.
Important: Use a separate 12 V battery to power the NMEA 2000 network, not your
drive battery.
The power consumption of the Display Gateway is < 50 mA. This is equivalent to 1 LEN
(Load Equivalent Number).

In addition, the manufacturer-specific PGNs 065299 and 065300 are sent with data such as
motor power, charging power or system status. These are not supported by all displays.
Consult your display manufacturer.
4. LED indicators and troubleshooting
There are four LEDs on the front of the Gateway (see p. 3), which indicate the operational
status of the Gateway. These can be used for error analysis.
