Instructions:
1. Ensure that the stop collar on the step drill bit is positioned
at the correct height on the step drill to prevent drilling into
the jig base (see Figure 1). Use the included hex wrench
to loosen/tighten the stop collar.
2. Center the work piece to be drilled in the jig and clamp
tight using the thumb screw (see Figure 2).
3. Drill the pocket hole(s) until the stop collar hits the base.
For cleaner cut holes and easier drilling, do not drill the
entire depth with one stroke. Instead, use short strokes
until the drill has reached its final depth (see Figure 3).
When finished, unclamp the work piece and remove
from the jig.
CAUTION: Always make sure your drill and bit are up to
correct speed before contacting wood surfaces.
4. Clamp the two work pieces together in the desired final
configuration. Drive screws (1" course or fine screws
supplied), into the pocket holes to complete the joint
(see Figure 4). Glue may be used in the joint if desired.
If desired, insert 3/8" wood pocket hole plugs to cover pocket
hole (see Figure 5).
