Advices:
•
The duration of treatment with the Bebax bootee depends on the nature and the
importance of the deformity. The doctor is the only person qualified to decide
the duration of the treatment. He will increase or reduce the degree of correction
on Bebax and decide the daily time of use.
•
To achieve a therapeutic effect, you should respect the daily time of use
prescribed by your doctor. Once the bootee placed, do not change the correcting
position. If the screws come loose, consult your doctor. Although Bebax is well
tolerated by the children, if you notice reddening on the skin, it is advisable to
inform the doctor who is treating your child.
•
The colour of the tows may be rosy or slightly blue. If the tows are very blue or
white, wait a few minutes to se if the toes return to their normal colour, If not,
loosen the straps slightly (figure 4).
•
You can remove Bebax during bathing, placing it back again immediately after.
(consult your doctor).
•
It is advisable to softly massage the child's foot every time Bebax is removed for
any reason. (consult your doctor).
•
If the child is capable of walking, Bebax must only be used during the night or
during its periods of rest. Do not let the child walk or stand with it as the joint
can be broken.
•
If you notice that the toes overpass Bebax , you must use a larger size. It is
important that Bebax is well fitted to the foot size of the baby so that the support
points of correction correspond as perfectly as possible to the anatomical
reference points. (consult your doctor).
•
Due to the anatomy differences of the foot, BEBAX® orthosis must not be used
for more than one treatment. Avoid the use in other patients.
•
Only small sizes of Bebax (from 7,5 to 10) can be mounted on Clubax.
