2) OVERVIEW: PACK 3, a component of Silenya Advanced alarm system, is a multifunctional portable radio transmitter suitable to control control panels and relay boards part no. 7300 and 7301. These relay
boards are used to switch on lights and any other type of automation via radio.
3) OPERATION: PCK 3 employs a two-way radio transmission technology with encrypted authentication system which operates over 4 DualBand channels. Its three colored keys totally/partially arm and disarm
the system. The transparent key temporarily switches colour key's operation from its standard function to 3 different customized home automation functions which are transmitted via radio to 7300 and 7301
relay boards.
3.1) Controls/Reporting to the control unit
3.1.1) RED KEY: total arming
3.1.2) WHITE KEY:partial arming of one or more Areas using the same codes setup for the control panel.
3.1.3) GREEN KEY: total disarming.
3.1.4) TRANSPARENT KEY: through this button you can see the LED indicator's light. Press this key to switch colour key's operation for 10 seconds from its standard function to customised home automation
preset functions.
3.1.5) LOW BATTERY: the control panel reports if the battery of any remote control needs replacing.
3.2) Remote control's LED operations during "Alarm" function.
Flashing orange
Steady RED for 2 seconds
Steady GREEN for 2 seconds
3.2.1) Special events
 Arming with anomalies (open doors/windows or new event to be aknowledged). You can setup the control panel not to be armed during these events (EN 50131 standard) using mode A or to be armed
anyway thereby ignoring any anomalies using mode B. Based on which mode you selected, the LED will report as follows when you press R or B keys:
A mode: orange flashing followed by green flashing = LED reports an anomaly and control unit is not armed
B mode: orange flashing followed by red flashing and then solid red: LED reports that control panels is armed
 Disarming with new event: if events have taken place while the control panel was armed, press V key to display LED flashing orange, followed by green flashing and then solid green = LED is reporting that
control panel disarmed and to see events.
 Low battery warning: 5 red flashes when any key is pressed. This reports that battery needs to be replaced as soon as possible. PCK will gradually lose range until battery is replaced.
3.3) Additional available controls - "switching" functions
Press the transparent key and then the colour key to enable additional controls. Each colour key can be linked with a specific single function during setup. Available functions are as follows:
 Controls to the control panel: enable sirens (Panic function) - enable Medical assistance - enable Duress function.
 Controlling 7300 – 7301 relay boards (throught the control panel): after each board has been preset to enable a specific electric load, same can be linked to one of the colour key during setup in order to
control it.
3.3.1) Remote control's LED reporting when key functions have been "switched".
1 orange flash
= LED reports that function has been "switched" for 10 seconds after the clear key is pressed. Standard "alarm" function will resume after
10 seconds. Press clear key to resume "alarm" function before.
Flashing orange = LED reports that the signal to "switch" functions has been sent and that the unit is awaiting a response
Steady RED for 2 seconds= LED reports that signal "switch" functions has not been received (KO)
Steady GREEN for 2 seconds= LED reports that signal to "switch" functions has been properly received
4) SETUP: PCK 3 can control up to 3 different control panels and up to 3 different 7300-7301 relay boards.
4.1) Control panel setup: access the special Devices setup menus of the control panel and follow on-screen instructions. Each remote control is setup to:
- control assigned Area, the device will control only specifically assigned Areas through the individual functions which have been setup
- control partial arming, the device will arm only preset Areas which must be among those assigned to it
- control relay boards associated with "switching" keys, each key will control one relay board as setup from the control panel.
4.2 Relay boards direct programming: this function can be useful to control automations such as a gate, from a location which is far from the control panel, yet near the relay board. Setting up: see
instruction manual of employed relay boards.
Caution! Direct programming of a "switching" key on the relay board only enables a short impulsive control and automatically excludes key's communication with the control panel.
5) TEST : this function is implied with operation. Range loss can occur as battery looses power.
6) BATTERY REPLACEMENT
 Open the battery compartment of the remote control by removing the rear cover (press and push outward).
 Carefully pull out the battery by pushing it gently outwards with a screwdriver.
 Replace the battery with another corresponding one paying attention to its polarity: CR2032 3V (button battery).
Caution! Used batteries must be disposed of in compliance with current regulations, even when equipment is scrapped and must therefore be removed from the devices before they are scrapped.
