4.2. When using the flat and flexible evacuation duct, connect it with a duct tape
on the connecting nozzle. The fixing and sealing of the connections must be
perfect. Use a cable tie or aluminum adhesive tape to seal the connections.
4.3. A flat-to-round connector of 150mm is also supplied with the cover for
connection in case you have an evacuation installation of 150mm. Please note
that no reduction in evacuation diameter is advisable.
4.4. Please note that most FTK ceiling hoods models feature a 222x89 mm flat
evacuation duct, corresponding to a flow like that of the round duct of 150 mm.
4.5. When connected to a short evacuation duct, it would be convenient to install a
check valve in the duct to prevent incoming wind.
5.
Unscrew the 4 screws to loosen the fixing brackets used to adjust the hood height.
Connect the electrical outlet to a power outlet before installing it. Adjust the
hood, the holders will easily support the weight of the hood. Push the ceiling hood
over the edges upwards into the recessed opening, tilting, and clicking on one of
the long sides of the hood and then on the other, until you hear a clearly audible
click. The ceiling hood will be suspended. Then tighten the 4 screws manually
tighten to permanently secure the hood to the ceiling.
5.1. Never unscrew the 4 fastening screws completely, as the lashes will fall, and the
hood will not be able to rest on the false ceiling. Unscrew only what is necessary
so that the holders are loose, being able to move and shrink when touching the
ceiling and facilitating the recessing process through the opening.
5.2. Once the built-in hood can be completely flush, attention! Do not tighten the 4
fastening screws anymore. It could break the drywall or fixation (or both).
6.
Access the false ceiling by opening the hood motor and take the motor left next
to it beforehand. Connect the motor to the hood and screw it back into the hood.
Change the blow direction by turning the motor in one of the possible positions
to place it in the direction of your drainage facility. Adjust the motor protection.
7.
Connect the light cables and install the light supports. Connect the power
plug. Mount the grease filters. Install the safety cable. The hood is ready
for use.
Removing the hood
1.
Before disassembling, protect the worktop (with cardboard or lid) from a possible
screw drop. To remove the hood from the ceiling, follow the steps below:
1.1. Unscrew the hinges on the hood door and remove it to lighten the load on the
device during disassembly.
1.2. Completely unscrew the 4 fastening screws that control the holders. Once these
are completely loose, the device is released and dropped. Attention! Hold it tight
and put it down. Unscrewed holders may fall.
