tains information about the soft top of your MINI
Convertible that is at variance with the informa-
tion in the Owner's Handbook for the Vehicle.
On the subject in question, please proceed as
described in this Supplementary Owner's Hand-
book.

closure if an electrical
fault develops
Unlocking the soft top
1.
Slacken the screw, arrow, with the Allen key
and remove.
2.
Push the cover in the direction correspond-
ing to the forward direction of travel, arrow
1, and turn it to the side to remove, arrow 2.
If necessary, press the plastic trim, arrow 3
slightly inward.

Remove the sensor from the cover, arrow,
and lay it on the inner side trim panel.
4.
Use the Allen key to slacken the second
screw, arrow, to release the soft top.
5.
Remove the screw.
6.
Slightly lift the side frame, arrow 1, and pull
the sensor and cable forward out of the
guide.
Swing the cable out to the side, arrow 2.
7.
When setting down, make sure that the
cable is not trapped.
8.
Unlock the second side frame.
