3.4. Safe handling of rechargeable batteries

Risk of explosion!
Rechargeable batteries may contain combustible mate-
rials. If handled incorrectly, rechargeable batteries can
leak, become very hot, ignite or even explode, which
could damage your device and/or your health.
Charge the battery only with the original accessory
(mains adapter).
Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, heat or fire.
3.5. Cleaning and storage
Before cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use chemical
solutions or cleaning agents because these may damage the
device's surface or the labels on it.
Remove the batteries and unplug the power cable from the
mains socket if the device is not going to be used for a long
time.
3.6. Thunderstorms
Disconnect the power cable if you are away for a long period
of time or if there is a thunderstorm.
3.7. Water spray protection
The radio is protected against damage from dust and water
spray according to IPX4.
The power cable is not protected against damage from
water spray. The protection against water spray is only
guaranteed if the power cable connection is sealed
with the rubber protective flap.
