EN Safety instructions
Connecting the gas cylinder
•
The device can be used with 5 - 15kg gas cylinders.
The gas cylinder should have a max. diameter of 31.5cm
and be no taller than 58cm.
•
A lways place the gas cylinder next to the device! Never
place the gas cylinder behind the doors of the device!
•
The gas barbecue must only be operated with butane or
propane gas and a 50mbar control (pressure regulator) on a
flexible gas pipe. Please observe the instructions provided
by the manufacturer / supplier of both the gas cylinder and
the control!
•
The gas pipe must be no longer than max. 1.5 m.
•
Never connect the gas cylinder near
sources of ignition! The same applies when replacing gas
cylinders.
Leakage check
Regular leakage checks must be performed whenever connecting
a new gas cylinder and before initial use to ensure that the connec-
tions are secure and no gas is escaping.
•
The gas supply must be shut off and all controls placed
in the OFF-position.
•
Make a soap solution from water and liquid soap
(80% water / 20% liquid soap).
•
Dampen the connections and the controls with the
soap solution.
•
Turn on the gas flow and turn the control to ON.
•
The formation of soap bubbles at the connection points indi-
cates the presence of a leak. DO NOT USE THE GAS
BARBECUE IF THIS OCCURS!
•
If no bubbles form then all of the connections are
secure and you may use the gas barbecue. Stop the gas
flow and clean the connection points to remove all traces of
the soap solution.
