CLEANING
Cleaning may be done by the user so long as he has read and
fully understood the contents of this manual.
Only clean the stove when it is off and cold.
Opening the door
Open the door using the provided handle (Fig. 1).
RESPONSIBILITIES OF END USER:
• Cleaning the inside of the hearth
Before each ignition, it is necessary to check that the brazier is
clean to ensure the free flow of combustion air from the holes of
the brazier itself.
Removing the ash deposited inside the brazier (Fig. 2). If
necessary remove the ash drawer and empty it, making sure to
remove any residues in the compartment that contains it (Fig. 2).
Using an ash vacuum can simplify the cleaning
operations.
After having cleaned the brazier, take it out of its housing and
clean the holding compartment (Fig. 3).
At the end of cleaning, make sure to reposition the cast iron
brazier in the only correct position determined by the interlocking
connection between the brazier and brazier support (Fig. 4 - A).
If the brazier is not properly positioned, the stove may
present problems such as failed or delayed ignition, rather
than incorrect combustion.
• Cleaning the glass
It is carried out with a damp cloth or with dampened paper that is
wiped over the ash. Rub until the glass is clean.
Do not clean the glass while the stove is on and do not use
abrasive sponges.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHORISED
TECHNICIAN:
• Cleaning the flue manifold
The flue compartment must be cleaned once per season to allow
best stove performance. In case of intensive and prolonged use,
the product may require more frequent cleaning, which will be
signalled by a request for extraordinary maintenance (error 002).
Remove the ash drawer and, using a special ash vacuum, remove
any residues in the compartment that contains it.
Remove the front flue inspection cover (Fig. 5).
Remove the second flue box cover and vacuum the ash (Fig. 6).
Remove the condensate drain assembly and vacuum the ash
(Fig. 7).
Use an ash cleaner to clean the exchange pipes in the combustion
chamber (Fig. 8-9).
Remove any residues that fall in the flue manifold using an ash
vacuum.
At the end of cleaning, reassemble all the parts in reverse order,
making sure they are properly positioned and secured.
• Cleaning the flue Tee
Once per season, any deposits accumulated in the flue evacuation
Tee (if included) need to cleaned.
