Instructions for use
Preheating
When using for the first time, clean the two plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Lightly grease the plates with
butter or cooking oil; the appliance can release some smoke and odour, open the appliance and allow it to heat
for at least 5 minutes without food. It is recommended to open the windows to eliminate smoke and odours due
to the heating of the internal components.
Place the appliance on a flat, smooth and heat-resistant surface.
Insert the plug into an electrical outlet. Check that the power cable will not be in contact with hot parts.
Operation
Insert the plug into an electrical outlet, the temperature indicator light will come on. Place the sandwich inside the
lower plate and close the plates, compressing slightly.
Be careful not to touch the hot parts of the appliance.
The sandwich can be cooked in aprox. 2-3 minutes.
When the thermostat light switch off, the appliance has reached the maximum temperature.
Check the right cooking by adjusting according to your tastes, after the thermostat indicator light switch off, you
can still leave the sandwich in the appliance for more roasting / cooking.
After cooking, remove the sandwich from the plate using, if necessary, a wooden or plastic spatula (not supplied).
During this operation, be very careful not to touch the hot parts of the appliance.
Do not use metal spatulas or knives as they could damage the coating of the plate.
After cooking the sandwich, unplug the appliance from the electrical socket.
If necessary move the appliance, use only the insulating handle, the parts of the appliance could be very hot.
Some tips
Preheat the plates before use by inserting the plug into the electrical outlet before starting the sandwich prepa-
ration.
For sandwiches with creamy and soft fillings use medium thickness bread.
To obtain a greater browning effect of the sandwich, a light layer of butter can be spread on the sides of the bread
in contact with the plates.
Appliance cleaning and maintenance
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the appliance from the power supply by
disconnecting the plug and waiting for the appliance to cool completely.
Clean the plates and the outside with a damp cloth.
Avoid using sharp metal tools or abrasive products as they could damage the coating of the plates.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
The appliance can also be stored upright if completely cold and not in use.
