one source device
1. Connect your source device to HDMI
input.
2. Connect your output device (HDTV)
to the HDMI output.
3. Connect your analog sound system
to the 3.5mm Stereo output or your
digital sound system to the coaxial
SPDIF or optical output.

4. Connect the included power supply unit
to the HDMI™ a udio-extractor and a
mains socket.
The HDMI™ A udio-Extractor is ready to
use, when the Operation LED shines.

Mode A:
Set the switch to Mode a , when your
HDTV's audio format shall be transmit-
ted to the output device.
Modus B:
Set the switch to Mode B , when your
source device's audio format shall be
transmitted to the output device.
Therefor read the user's manual of your
source device and set the preferred audio
format.
6. Mute the tone of your output device.

using and operating with
several source devices
The HDMI™ audio-extractor is alternatively
useable with several source devices. There-
for you just need a HDMI switch, e.g. like our
article numbers 60808 or 60809.
Your source device offers „auto detect"
function and Mode B is set:
>> The best possible audio format will be
set automatically.
Your source device does not offer „auto
detect" function:
>> Set the preferred audio format manually
on the source device.
1. For connecting, operate as described
in chapter 4.1.1, but connect a HDMI
switch between your source devices
and the HDMI input.
