3. Terms and conditions of warranty
a.
IP warrants for a period of ten years from putting into operational service of an IP
safety lifting clamp the integrity of the product supplied provided the provisions
set by these terms and conditions are met.
b.
Should the lifting clamp supplied prove unreliable, which judgement should be
set against the purpose for which it is intended in the light of the user
instructions, then IP may at its own discretion:
- Repair the lifting clamp free of charge,
- Replace the lifting clamp,
- Credit you for a proportionate part of the invoice, related to the purchase price
of the lifting clamp after deduction for depreciation.
c.
The warranty shall come into operation as soon as IP has received from you a
signed copy of the warranty certificate.
d.
You must under all circumstances provide IP with the opportunity to repair any
defects relating to the lifting clamps.
e.
You may appeal to the warranty after all payment obligations with respect to the
lifting clamp have been fulfilled.
f.
Warranty shall not be extended for defects resulting from:

Normal wear and tear
●
Damage
Overload
●
●
Improper use
●
Injudicious use
The lifting of new/divergent materials (hardness/dimensions)
●
●
Clumsy and/or careless use
●
Failure to carry out or improper conduct of the procedures and measures
stipulated under g
Nor shall warranty be extended, when:
Between the date of delivery of the lifting clamp (= invoice date of the IP

dealer) and the putting into use of the lifting clamp there is a time interval of
more than three months
●
Lifting clamp parts are used that do not originate with IP
●
Alterations are made to an IP lifting clamp
●
The repairs and overhauls are carried out by a repairer not authorized by IP
g.
You must observe the procedures and measures designed by IP to achieve the
quality and maximum safety of the lifting clamp. These are further specified in
chapter 1: "10 year warranty for maximum safety", both of which are inseparably
linked to the terms and conditions of warranty and form an integral part thereof.
