Replacing the line spool
Risk of injuries due to the cutting tool.
Only adjust the device with the motor
standstill.
Do not reach into the area of the rotating
line.
Pull out the mains plug before any work
on the device!
Typ 1
Press the retaining lugs on the spool cap together
Remove the line spool
If necessary, remove any dirt.
Insert a new line spool in the spool cap
Thread the line ends through the eyes of the spool
cap .
Note
retaining slots before inserting
After threading in and assembling the line spool in
the spool cap, pull strongly on the two line ends to
release them out of the retaining slots.
Place the spool cap, together with the line spool,
on the line spool holder so that the two retaining
lugs of the spool cap perceptibly engage
Typ 2
Simultaneously strongly press the spool cap
together at both of the retaining lugs

Remove the line spool
If necessary, remove any dirt.
Insert a new line spool in the housing
Thread the line ends through the eyes of the line
box .

Protect the trimmer against rust/oxidation during
long storage periods.
