• When water starts boiling, the kettle will switch off automatically and the on/off switch (8)
illumination will extinguish.
Novis Kettle KTC1 Usage (Electronic Temperature Control)
"Heating to a preset temperature" function
• This function allows to select required water temperature for making different tea varieties.
• Press the button "+/-" to set the required water heating temperature (50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 95 or
100°C).
• Default temperature setting by the factory is 80°C.
• Switch on the kettle by pressing the "on/off" switch (7).
• When the preset temperature is reached, the kettle will switch off automatically, you will hear 5
sound signals.
• The kettle will switch directly to keep warm function for 30min (when the temperature is not more
than 90°C). If the preset temperute is more than 90°C, the kettle will cool down to 90°C and it
enters in keep warm function.
• Keep warm function can be canceled anytime by pressing shortly on "on/off" switch (7) or by taking
the kettle off the base.
"Set the heating temperature to 100°C directly"
• When the kettle is in ready mode or temperature setting mode, after pressing "on/off" switch (7) for
at least 2 seconds, 100°C will be saved.
"Set the heating temperature to 80°C directly"
• When the kettle is in ready mode or temperature setting mode, after pressing "+" + "-" button (5,6)
for at least 2 seconds, 80°C will be saved.
"Set the heating temperature to 60°C directly"
• When the kettle is in ready mode or temperature setting mode, after pressing "+" button (5) for at
least 2 seconds, 60°C will be saved.
"Standby mode"
• After 30 minutes waiting or if "keep warm" is not used, or after "keep warm" ends, the display will
extinguish automatically. The kettle will enter to standby mode.
• To wake up the kettle from the standby mode, lift it up and put it back on the power base or press
any one of the buttons (5,6,7).
Clean and Care
Descaling
• Scale, appearing inside the kettle, influences the water taste and disturbs the heat exchange between
water and heating element.
• To remove scale, fill the kettle with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water till the
max. mark.
• Boil water and leave the unit overnight. In the morning pour out the liquid, fill the kettle with water till
the max. mark, boil and pour out water.
• You can also use special detergents.
• Clean the kettle from scale regularly.
Storage
• Before taking the kettle away for storage, unplug it, pour out water and let the unit cool down.
• To avoid condensation during long storage, wipe the kettle dry.
• Keep the kettle away from children in a dry cool place.
