When should the charcoal filter be
reactivated?
Reactivation should be carried out
when the charcoal filter is no longer
effective at neutralising odours.
It should be reactivated at least every
6 months.
Using for the first time: if your cooker
hood has a charcoal filter operating
hours counter please activate it.
Instructions on how to do so are
given in the operating instruction
manual for the cooker hood.
Removing charcoal filters
DKF 12-R:
This charcoal filter consists of two
parts. The charcoal filter cassette a is
fitted in a frame b. The charcoal filter
cassette has to be taken out of this
frame for reactivation.
Operating instructions
Use a pointed instrument, e.g. a small
screwdriver to release the two
catches c.
Carefully take the charcoal filter
cassette out of the frame.
Reactivate the charcoal filter cassette
as described below.
Only the frame can be cleaned in a
dishwasher.
After reactivation replace the charcoal
filter cassette in the frame. Marking
d on the cassette must point
upwards. Secure both catches c.
