Locked - Unlocked
Start sewing:
-Turning the wheel, pull the arm of the needle to the highest posi-
tion. Note: The wheel can rotate in both directions. Hold the secu-
rity lever making sure that you are not pushing down the arm of
the needle (the arm can be moved manually even when the
machine is locked).
-Place the cloth under the security lever (see drawing 2).
-Introduce at least 5 centimeters of thread in the needle, from the
back to the front before starting to sew.
-Hold the sewing machine with your right hand and use your
thumb finger to press the ON button; hold the bottom part with the
other fingers (see drawing 3).
-Unlock the machine (see drawing 0). Press the button with your
right thumb finger. The machine will trail the cloth to the left auto-
matically with the adequate tension; use your left hand to hold the
cloth and control the direction (do not try to run the machine).
-If longer stitches are needed, move the cloth to the right a little
faster and sew at the same time. Follow the central line of the
security plate to obtain a straight final work (see drawing 4).
To finish the sewing:
-When you finish sewing, pull the arm of the needle to the hig-
hest position rotating the wheel. Then use a pair of scissors to cut
the thread after pulling it 8 cm approximately (see drawing 5 and
6).
-Use 8 cm of the final part of the thread to tie the knot according
to what is indicated in the images (see drawing12).
-First pass the needle threader through the last stitch.
-Place the thread in the needle threader.
-Pull 2 cm approximately.
-Direct the thread through the loop and pull it to tie the knot.
