Peli™ 9470
The Peli™ 9470 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS) contains four LED light heads, four masts, two 12V sealed lead acid batteries and a power supply all
contained within a Peli™ protector case. The masts will extend to a height of nearly 7 feet and the light heads can articulate in multiple directions.
Mast Operation
1. Open case, remove lamp heads & masts then stand case upright.
2. Screw lamp heads onto masts then insert masts into mast holders
(see image A).
3. Connect lamp head plugs into the corresponding sockets located
on the top of the case (see image B).
4. To extend the mast, release the clamp on each section and raise.
Lock each clamp when you have reached your chosen height.
5. To collapse the masts, reverse the procedure.
Light Operation
1. Press power button on keypad once to switch on. The default setting is the preset high mode (as indicated by the three 'sun' symbols at the top of the screen). Your remaining run
time is displayed in the center of the screen and your battery level at the bottom of the screen (see image C).
2. Press the bottom left button on the keypad to change between high, medium and low power. You will notice that your remaining run time alters between these settings.
3. Press the up or down buttons on the keypad at any time to enter the Intelligent Control "IC" mode (see image D). The IC mode allows you to select any run time up to 24hrs. In
this mode, your power level is displayed at the top of the screen instead of the preset 'sun' symbols. You can go back to the preset mode at any time by pressing the bottom left
button on the keypad.
4. Press the power button on the keypad to switch off.

The 9470 RALS features the ability to run directly from the power supply without discharging the battery; when the power supply is connected to mains AC power the 9470 will
automatically select a light level to allow continuous operation - automatic mode. (In this automatic mode, the battery level will remain constant). The light level will be approximately at
50% of maximum capacity. The display on the keypad will adopt the IC mode, showing the battery level and power level, but the timer display will be replaced by "--:--" and the hourglass
icon will disappear. Manual adjustment of the brightness will still be possible, however if the brightness is increased, then automatic mode will be exited, a new runtime will be computed
based upon the new operating conditions. The battery level and the display will revert to the normal IC mode, (or preset mode if the bottom left button has been used). If the brightness is
decreased, the unit will remain in continuous mode (and the battery will charge up slowly).
If the power supply is removed, the unit will return to normal operation and the run-time display will show the remaining time for the particular setting prior to removal of the power supply.
Bluetooth Operation
The 9470 RALS is equipped with Bluetooth capability which allows you to operate it via the Peli™ RALS app.
To download the RALS app, visit the app store and search for 'Peli™ RALS'. Once installed the app icon should appear on your screen. The app supports both iOS and Android devices.
The Bluetooth is active by default so once you open the app your 9470 RALS should appear under the 'Found' heading (see image E) as per the following example:
9460C/9470C_00000X (the last six digits are your unique serial number). By clicking on this serial number the app should connect to your 9470 RALS and the serial number should
now appear under the 'Connected' heading in the app screen. The Bluetooth logo on the 9470 screen should turn from white to blue. You can connect to multiple RALS but only
operate one at a time.
Once connected, the default setting is always off. To switch on you can either press the 'on/off' toggle on the app screen or slide the intensity slider until you reach your desired light
intensity. The app works in conjunction with the keypad screen on your 9470 RALS; as you adjust the slider on the app screen, the remaining run time adjusts accordingly.
The app will remain connected until you either close the app or go out of range*, at which point the Bluetooth logo on the 9470 keypad screen will turn from blue to white. You can
override the app control by operating the 9470 RALS keypad if desired.
The Bluetooth can be manually deactivated on the 9470 if required. To deactivate it, switch the RALS on then press and hold the bottom left button on the keypad until the Bluetooth
logo in the bottom left of the screen disappears. It can be reactivated again by pressing and holding the same button again until the logo reappears.
*Range varies depending upon the environment in which the RALS is being used.
Flash Mode
1 Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until flashing begins, then select the required power level.
2. To switch flashing mode off, press the power button again.
Battery Level
The battery level is indicated at the bottom of the screen. When the unit is turned off,
the battery level is displayed in a dimmed mode once every 5 seconds.
Battery Charging
1. Remove the dust cap from the charging socket and plug in the mating plug from
the power supply (see image F).
2. Connect the power supply to the mains AC power supply.
3. The charge level will be indicated in the bottom of the screen display. Once a complete
charge level is reached, the display will revert to a dim display.
12v Power Supply Port
The 12v power supply port is located on the top of the case (see image G).
Remove the dust cap to expose the power socket. This can be used to provide power for compatible devices.
