4.2 Storage

• Disconnect the power adapter or the 12 V car adapter from
the battery.
• Store the rechargeable battery away from all heat sources
(e.g., continuous direct sunlight).
• To ensure that the charge is retained for as long as pos-
sible, store the charged battery at room temperature (ap-
prox. 21 °C).
If the battery is not going to be used for a long period, it
must be charged again after 6 months because otherwise it
could be damaged by total discharge.
Always disconnect the rechargeable battery from the mains for
storage because electrical devices that remain plugged in
present a potential hazard source.
