MESSAGE
OVERCURRENT
DRY RUNNING
PHASE FAILURE
PUMP x – PHASE x
MULTIPLE STARTS
CAUSE
The pump is consuming
above the nominal
consumption.
The pump is working
partially or totally
without water.
The indicated pump
phase is consuming
significantly more than
the other phases.
The pump or pumps
are starting and
stopping at a very high
frequency.
SOLUTION
Check the nominal consumption of
the affected motor indicated in menu
4. MOTOR CONSUMPTION.
If the value entered at this point is
correct, it may indicate an internal
motor problem that causes this
excess consumption.
Also check that the voltage received
by the motor while running is correct
and that there is no attenuation
in the input voltage, which would
directly imply excess motor
consumption.
Check that the pump can suck water
without problems and later check the
sensitivity value entered in point 8.
PUMP PROTECTIONS.
An excessively high sensitivity value
can cause false dry-work detection.
In this case, set the sensitivity
value that gives you a correct
measurement.
Use an external ammeter to verify
that the information provided is
correct and, if so, contact the pump
manufacturer's technical service for
instructions on how to proceed.
Check that the air pressure in the
hydropneumatic tank is correct.
Check pressure switch regulation
and the start/stop values in case of
pressure transducer operation.
In an installation with buoys or level
probes, check the correct scaling of
the float switches/probes in the tank.
