3 Applications
The TVSET-550 consists of the monitor CDM-550 and
two cameras of type TVCCD-550 and is designed for
unobtrusive room surveillance.
The switching-over between the input signals at the
monitor can be made manually or automatically
according to an adjustable time. The feed-through out-
puts allow to pass on the audio signal and video signal
of the selected source to another unit.
Please observe the instructions of the cameras
TVCCD-550 for the installation.
4 Connecting and Setting-up
Only make or change all connections with the unit
switched off.
1) Connect the video output of the first camera (or
another signal source, e. g. a video recorder) to the
jack VIDEO (10) and the audio output of the same
camera to the jack AUDIO (11) below "C1 IN".
2) Connect the video output of the second camera or
another signal source to the jack VIDEO (12) and
the audio output of the same camera to the jack
AUDIO (13) below "C2 IN".
3) Connect the low voltage plugs of the cameras
TVCCD-550 or other cameras with 10 V /250 mA
max. for the power supply to one of the jacks
"OUT DC 10V" (8) in each case.
4) Connect the supplied plug-in power supply unit to
the low voltage jack "IN DC 12V" (9) and to a mains
socket (100 – 240 V~/50 – 60 Hz).
5) If desired, connect another monitor or a video
recorder to the jacks VIDEO (18) and AUDIO (17)
below "OUT". The signal presently selected is
always available at the jacks.
6) The bracket (3) can be unfolded for a better viewing
angle.
5 Operation
Prior to switching-on, turn the volume control (1) fully
back to the left stop.
1) To switch on the monitor and the cameras con-
nected to the power supply jacks (8), press the
switch POWER (6): The power LED (2) lights up.
2) Open the cover plate (4): firmly press the spot indi-
cated by the arrow in fig. 1. Then the cover disen-
gages and can be opened so that the switch „C1 C2
AUTO" (5) is accessible. Select the desired signal
source with the switch:

If the position AUTO is selected, adjust with the con-
trol TIME (7) after which time (2 – 20 s) respectively
the source should be changed.
3) With the brightness control BRIGHT (14) and the
contrast control CONT (15) adjust an optimum pic-
ture.
4) In case of vertical rolling of the picture (fig. 3), adjust
a stable picture with the control V-HOLD (16).
5) Adjust with the control VOL (1) the desired volume
for the audio reproduction via the installed speaker.
6) After the operation switch off the monitor with the
POWER switch.
If the monitor is not used for a longer period of
time, disconnect the plug-in power supply unit from
the mains socket, as it still has a low power con-
sumption even with the monitor switched off.
