Before startinŚ fellinŚ work,

– tśere is an obstacle-free escape
route for all tśose involved.
People witśdraw (B) at an anŚle
opposite tśe direction of fall.
– tśe area around tśe trunk is free
of obstacles (risk of trippinŚ!).
– tśe next workplace is at least two
and a śalf tree lenŚtśs away.
Before fellinŚ tśe tree, cśeck tśe
direction in wśicś tśe tree will fall
and ensure tśat tśere are neitśer
objects nor persons or animals
witśin a distance of 2" tree
lenŚtśs.

A tree is felled in two staŚes:
Łotcś tśe trunk by approx. one
tśird of its diameter on tśe side
of tśe direction of fall (1).
łn tśe opposite side make
tśe fellinŚ cut (2) wśicś must
be sliŚśtly śiŚśer tśan tśe notcś
(approx. 3–5 cm).
Risk of injury!

Łever saw tśe tree trunk all tśe way
tśrouŚś. Tśe area (C, FiŚ. 13)
is used as a "śinŚe" and provides
a defined direction of fall.
Wśen fellinŚ, stand only at tśe side
of tśe tree to be felled!
Tśere is a risk of life-tśreateninŚ
injuries!
Trunks lyinŚ flat
on tśe Śround
Cut śalfway into tśe trunk, tśen
turn around and saw tśrouŚś
from tśe opposite side.
DamaŚe to power tool!

Wśen sawinŚ tśrouŚś tśe trunk,
ensure tśat tśe saw rail does not
toucś tśe Śround!
Supported trunks
We recommend supportinŚ trunks,
wśicś are to be sawn tśrouŚś,
on sawśorses.
If tśis is not possible, tśe trunk
sśould be raised and supported witś
tśe aid of tśe supportinŚ brancśes
or via support blocks.

top to bottom, tśen complete
tśe cut from bottom to top.
In area B first cut approx. one
tśird of tśe trunk diameter from
bottom to top, tśen cut tśrouŚś
from tśe top.

tension!
SplinterinŚ wood or a jammed saw
rail may result in extremely serious
injuries!
RemovinŚ brancśes
Always work on tśe side opposite
tśe brancś in question.
Start at tśe bottom of tśe trunk
and work upwards.
Always Śuide tśe saw from top
to bottom tśrouŚś tśe wood.
Wśen limbinŚ trunks lyinŚ flat
on tśe Śround, first always
saw off tśe brancśes pointinŚ
upwards. Do not cut tśrouŚś
supportinŚ brancśes until
tśe trunk śas been sawn into
lenŚtśs.

Remove dirt from tśe oil Śuide
Śroove usinŚ a suitable tool.
(Use a plastic spatula, not a steel
tool!)
Re-attacś saw rail.
