G
Risk of injury
Before placing your child in the child safety
seat, make sure that the child safety seat is
securely in place and cannot tip over. If the
child seat is not fitted in the vehicle, only
make adjustments to the head restraint with
the help of another person in order to avoid
tipping the child seat with the child sitting in
it. The child could be injured if the child safety
seat tips over.
G
Risk of injury
Always secure the child in place when he or
she is sitting in the child safety seat. Make
sure that:
• the lap-shoulder belt is resting snugly
against the body of the child and that it is
not twisted
• the belt tongue has engaged in place in the
seat belt buckle.
If the child is not secured or is improperly se-
cured in the child safety seat, he or she can-
not be properly restrained in the event of an
accident, sharp braking or a sudden change
of direction and may be seriously or fatally in-
jured.
G
Risk of injury
A child must only be secured in a child safety
seat that is appropriate for his/her body
weight and age in accordance with the child
safety seat certification. When a child seat is
fitted in the vehicle, make sure that the head
restraint is correctly adjusted. In addition, the
seat backrest must be completely upright
and engaged (in vehicles with folding seat
backrests, through-loading feature, etc.).
Otherwise, the child cannot be properly re-
strained in the event of an accident, sharp
braking or a sudden change of direction and
could be seriously or fatally injured.
