If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
• delta-V detection : this function measures the voltage increase over time. This voltage increase determines the
charging current. Once the battery is fully charged, the device automatically switches to trickle charging to avoid
overcharging the batteries.
• refresh function : this special feature enables you to recharge weak Ni-Cd batteries in order to partially recover
the capacity of the batteries.
• this device can charge 2 or 4 pcs of Mignon AA cells and Micro AAA Ni-Cd / Ni-MH cells.
• the device has a switch with three functions : loading 2 batteries, refreshing 2 or 4 batteries or loading 4 batteries.
• the charge/discharge function comes with a tricoloured LED (red/yellow/green) LED indication.
• the refresh function is visualised through a yellow LED.
• with cigarette lighter car plug for car use or use in a caravan or on a boat.
• with power adapter 230V to 12V / 500mA.
2. Use
a. Charging and Discharging Batteries
Insert the batteries in the charger. Ensure a good contact and check the polarity. Push the discharge/charge button
to start discharging the batteries (this is advisable for Ni-Cd batteries). The charge/discharge LED lights yellow during
the discharging process.
The charging process starts automatically upon completion of the discharging process (charge/discharge LED lights
red). The LED lights green when the batteries have been charged fully and the trickle charging function is activated.
The batteries are fully loaded now and can be removed.
b. Refresh Function
Beware of the memory effect with Ni-Cd batteries. Example: a Ni-Cd battery is recharged when 30% of its capacity
remains. The battery will charge to 100% capacity but can no longer be used when only 30% of its capacity remains.
This means you should discharge your Ni-Cd batteries COMPLETELY before recharging them.
You can try to recover the battery's capacity with the charger's refresh button. Just put the 2 or 4 batteries in the
charger, place the switch in the refresh position and let the batteries recharge. Keep in mind that refreshing batteries
takes a lot of time (more than 24 hours).
