28. Position the negative battery cable end (2) on the neg
ative battery post.
29. Position the fog lamp jumper harness ground wire
eyelet (4) on the bolt of the negative battery cable
end (2), and install the nut (1).
30. Using tie straps, secure the fog lamp harness and
jumper (3) as necessary.
31. Configure the vehicle as follows:
a. Log on to https://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
b. In the "Vehicle Option" screen under the "Global Claims System" category in the "Service" tab, enter the vehicle
VIN and add the sales code LNJ (Fog Lamps) as a "Dealer Installed Option".
c. Confirm that the new sales code has been successfully added to the VIN.
NOTE: With the scan tool connected to both the internet (via Ethernet port or wireless connection) and the
vehicle, follow the steps below:
d. Using the scan tool select the VEHICLE PREPARATION and then select RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURA
TION.
e. Follow the step by step instructions on the scan tool to complete the Fog Lamps vehicle configuration.
32. Set the fog lamp height as follows:
a. Place the vehicle on a level surface 25 feet from a wall or screen for viewing the fog lamp illumination height.
b. Turn on the ignition switch and the fog lamps.
c. Using a flat blade screw driver, adjust the fog lamps through the slot in the fascia/bumper just below the fog
lamp adjustment wheel, adjust to 100 mm (4 in.) below the fog lamp centerline straight ahead of the lamp.
33. Verify the system operates correctly.
