3. Getting started
3.1 Insert battery
Place both instruments on a desk with a distance of approximately 1.5 meter. Check that no other
electronic devices are close.
Press and hold "TX" button and "°C/°F" button at the same time for 3 seconds to switch on the
transmitter. The current temperature and channel 1 are shown on the LCD.
Insert the attached batteries (3 x 1.5 V AA) into the battery compartment of the display unit,
observing the correct polarity.
3.2 Reception of temperature transmitter
The display unit automatically starts scanning the 433 MHz signal to register the thermo sensor unit after
batteries are inserted. If the reception of outdoor values fails, "- -" appears on the display. Check the batteries
and try it again. Check if there is any source of interference.
Manual initialization can be helpful. Hold "CHANNEL" button on the display unit for 3 seconds. The registered
transmitter (channel) is cancelled.
Press "TX" button on the transmitter. The display unit gives a "beep" sound if it received the temperature.
4. How to operate
Important: Buttons with not function while scanning the outdoor temperature signal.
During operation, all successful settings will be confirmed by an acoustical signal.
The instrument will quit the setting mode, if there is no button used within 5 seconds period.
Holding „▲" or „▼" buttons, you will enter fast mode.
4.1 Setting of clock and calendar
Hold "MODE" button for 3 seconds. The hour digit is flashing. Press „▲" or „▼" buttons to adjust
hours. Using "MODE" button you can switch to setting minutes, seconds, year, month/day sequence,
month, day, time zone and day-of-week language.
In "month/day sequence" the two different date displays can be selected: Month/date (American
version) or date/month (European version).
Day-of-week language: English (EN), German (GE), French (FR), Spanish (ES), Italian (IT), Dutch
(NE), Danish (DA).
Choose 12 HR or 24 HR system by pressing the „▲ (12/24)" button.
4.1.1 Indication of date
Press "MODE" button to show the date.
4.2 Alarm clock function
Select your desired alarm by pressing "MODE" button again:

Set the alarm time in the desired alarm mode. Hold "MODE" button for 3 seconds. The hour digits are
flashing. Press „▲" or „▼" button to adjust the time. Confirm with "MODE" button. Set minutes in the
same way.
To activate or deactivate the alarm function press „▼ AL ON/OFF" in the respective alarm mode.
"ON" or "OFF" appears on the display.
Once the alarm starts to ring, you can stop the alarm by pressing any button.
4.3 Thermometer
4.3.1 Change °C/°F
Press "▼ ALARM ON/OFF" button to select temperature display in Celsius mode or Fahrenheit
mode.
