DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
STEAM IRONING
Filling with water:
*
Move the steam adjustment control down as far as it will go.
*
Hold the iron vertical so that the water filling hole is horizontal. Fill with water (without
additives) to the maximum level through the water filling hole.
Selecting the ironing temperature:
*
Set the temperature control selector in accordance with the international fabric protection
symbols (temperature selector / washing label) or the type of fabric.
*
synthetic (low temperature)
**
silk, wool (medium temperature)
***
cotton, linen (high temperature)
If necessary, sort the items to be ironed beforehand.
Setting the temperature for steam ironing:
*
Turn the temperature control selector to the coloured steam area (MAX.). This setting can
be used for most fabrics. Delicate synthetic fabrics should be ironed with the temperature
selector set to the beginning of the coloured area (MIN.).
Steam ironing delicate synthetic fabrics:
In practice, most fabrics can be steam ironed due to the barrier created by the steam between
the ceramic soleplate and the fabric. The temperature control selector must be placed at the
beginning of the coloured area (3 points).
When the indicator lamp turns off, turn the 'steam adjustment control' to the maximum steam
setting. Hold the iron horizontal to ensure that it is generating steam before starting to iron (first
test on an inside seam).
Connecting the iron to the mains:
*
Plug the iron into a socket. The temperature lamp turns on to indicate that the iron is
heating.
When the temperature lamp turns off, it has reached the set temperature and the iron is ready
for use.
*
The temperature lamp turns on and off automatically during ironing as the thermostat holds
the set temperature (you can continue ironing while this is going on).
Setting the steam adjustment control:
*
Set the steam adjustment control between the maximum and minimum settings.
The iron is ready for steam ironing:
*
Steam is produced as soon as the iron is held horizontal.
