8.
Always stand and operate the unit from behind the Support Arm (N°4).
9.
Do not operate or move the wheel from in front of the Clamp Support Arm (N°1).
10. When refilling the oil reservoir, the unit must be pumped fully apart before the Oil Reservoir Plug (N°10) is removed otherwise there is a risk of excess
pressure in the reservoir which can cause oil to squirt out when the refill screw is loosened.
11. Please keep the equipment clean all the time.
12. When the equipment is not in use, fully release the pressure.
3. USE AND OPERATION (§ 7.1.2 de l'EN 1494+A1)
3.1 Using the Hydraulic wheel dolly to remove a wheel
Position the vehicle on a suitable horizontal floor, applying the break. Jack up the axle of the wheel to be changed, with a suitable trolley jack, so that it is clear
of the floor. Secure with axle stands.
I.
Using the hydraulic wheel dolly. Unlock the pin (N°9), then press the control pedal (N°7) to A position Pump apart the hydraulic wheel dolly with the pump
lever (N°6) to make the Roller Table (N°5) in to right position.
2.
Adjust the wheel support Arm (N°4) so that the clamp support arm (NO.1) is positioned over the wheel to be handled.
3.
Push the hydraulic wheel dolly unit under the wheel so that the roller tab les are positioned either side of the wheel and that the wheel sits up against the
vertical wheel support Arm (N°4).
5.
Lower clamp support arm (N°1) behind the wheel and adjust until the wheel is vertical and can be moved approx 5cm sideways. This will allow the
wheel to be rotated in the Hydraulic wheel dolly when re-locating wheel studs. Lock the clamp support arm in position by tightening lock Arm (N°2 and
N°3).
WARNING! WHEEL SUPPORT ARM (N°4) AND CLAMP SUPPORT ARM (N°1) ARE ONLY USED TO BALANCE THE WHEEL NOT TO CARRY A LOAD!
6.
Press the control pedal (N°7) to B position. Lift the wheel by pumping the level (N°6). When the wheel is positioned on the unit the hydraulic wheel dolly
must be secured in the lifting position with the lock Pin (N°9).
IMPORTANT: Ensure that lock Pin (N°9) is secured through the nearest location hole on the inner member. This prevents unintentional lowering of the wheel
while it is being handled.
7.
With the wheel nuts removed, the wheel can now be safely carried away on the hydraulic wheel dolly.
8.
Put Pump Level (N°6) into Socket (N°11) used same as a handle as (N°12), thus the whole machine can be pushed to move.
3.2 Unloading the Dual Wheel Dolly
When the wheel is located on the wheel studs and secured with wheel nuts or the wheel has been moved to a place for storage, the wheel can be released.
1.
Lift and release the locking Pin (N°9).
2.
Press the Control pedal (N°7) to the A position. Operate the pump lever (N°6).
3.
Loose the Clamp Support Arm (N°1) by releasing Lock arm (N°2 and N°3).
4.
Adjust the Support Arm (N°4) so that it does not catch on the top of the wheel. Then move the Dual wheel dolly.
4. REFILLING THE HYDRAULIC OIL
For best results, change fluid every 8 working hours:
When refilling the hydraulic oil reservoir, pump the dual wheel dolly until the lifting rollers are to their widest possible. Then remove the Oil Reservoir Plug (N°10)
and fill the oil
(ISO
VG15) into the reservoir.
5. MAINTENANCE (§ 7.1.3 de l'EN 1494+A1)
Important: Both the maintenance and repair of this hydraulic wheel dolly may only be carried out by qualified and authorized personnel, who as a result
of their training and experience are familiar with the hydraulic systems used in these devices.
1.
Clean and lubricate the axes of the moving parts of the hydraulic wheel dolly at regular intervals. The hydraulic wheel dolly should be kept clean and
protected from aggressive conditions at all times.
2.
Only original spare parts should be used.
3.
Withdraw the hydraulic wheel dolly from service if it is suspected that it has been subjected to abnormal loads or has suffered any type of knock
until the problem has been resolved.
4.
If the oil level needs to be checked or refilled, dismantle the hydraulic unit and with the piston fully retracted, remove the filler plug and drain its
contents into a container. With the hydraulic in a horizontal position, proceed to introduce the necessary volume for each model as indicated in these
instructions. Avoid the entrance of any dirt with the new oil.
Important: An excess of oil over the volume required may affect the operation of the hydraulic wheel dolly.
5.
Only use hydraulic oil, type
6.
When the hydraulic wheel dolly is not in use, it should be fully retracted in the lowest position so as to minimize piston corrosion. It is recommendable
to apply an anti-corrosion product to the main piston and to the pump.
7.
Store the hydraulic wheel dolly in a dry, clean place, out of the reach of children.
8.
At the end of the useful life of the hydraulic wheel dolly, drain off the oil and hand it over to an authorised agent and dispose of the remaining parts in
accordance with local regulations.
9.
Both the repair kit, which exclusively contains the retainers and joints and the spare part sets must be ordered using the reference assigned in the table.
6. TROUBLE SHOOTING
Trouble
