Storage and transport
Clean and lightly oil the press tools after use. They must be clean and dry
during storage. Protect against mechanical effects during transport.
Upkeep and maintenance
Every time after the press geometry is used, check the press jaws
for damage and visible wear.
Clean the contours of the press jaws, press rings and press chains
regularly with fine steel wool or cleaning fleece model 94961.
Oil articulation points and movable parts regularly (see fig.).
Use Viega maintenance spray model 2499 or machine oil WD 40.
Have maintenance performed every two years by an approved
service company (list at the end of the document).

Proper use
Viega press tools are designed for and fine-tuned to Viega press
machines for pressing Viega press connectors. For compatibility
with products of other manufacturers, please refer to the
catalogue or ask our Customer Service.
Trained professionals should be responsible for use and upkeep,
taking into consideration service intervals.
Important note!
Improper storage or handling of press tools can result in
significant personal injuries and property damage:
Damaged parts can break during the pressing process.
Worn jaw profiles can result in leaks in the press connections.
In case of failure to observe the following instructions,
we cannot be held responsible for damage.
